Namibia, Zambia, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
Technical consultant for the development of a rapid and participatory method for conducting communication action-research. Provide training to participants from Namibia, Zambia, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

OXFAM/TARSC, Health and Education Research Advocacy Program for Southern Africa Regional Office.
Matabeleland South and Chivi Districts, Zimbabwe.
Lead consultant for a capacity assessment and development of the Participatory Rural Appraisal techniques for use in HIV/AIDS prevention and stigma research. Designed research protocols, training materials for field work and trained research assistances to conduct research on HIV/AIDS prevention and stigma.

Southern Alliance for Indigenous Resources (SAFIRE).
Waterfalls refugee camp, Harare, Zimbabwe
Conducted an evaluation assessment to serve as a model and a source for determining the appropriateness of permaculture in refugee centers and local communities living within a refugee-impacted area. Trained and provided technical support to more than 80 refugees mainly from Congo DRC, Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda.

Technical Consultant for a rural based revolving loan fund for women: Provided technical guidance, trainings and designed Group Guaranteed Revolving Loan Fund Techniques (GGRLFT) and a tracking system to monitor the management of the fund. The training was provided to field staff and rural women involved in income generating projects.

Action AID/Zimbabwe Aids Network.
Matabeleland and Mashonaland, Zimbabwe.
Technical Consultant for the development of the Participatory Rural Appraisal techniques related to health. Designed training material and provided PRA training to 60 health workers in two major provinces of Zimbabwe.
2002 - 2010
Dr. Tererai Trent served as Deputy Director for Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation for Heifer International in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was Responsible for planning, monitoring and evaluation of all HEIFER INTERNATIONAL programmatic field work. Specific responsibilities included:
- Developing program monitoring and evaluation standards and quality assurance processes,
- Creating and refining program performance measures and metrics for efficiency and impact,
- Providing technical assistance to project design, particularly for large-scale, grant-funded opportunities
- Helping to build capacity of staff in country area programs and other departments

Plan, organize, and implement vegetable disease studies. Diagnose field disease problems for Oklahoma vegetable producers and carry out plant disease assessments.

University of Arkansas, Department of Plant Pathology
Develop and implement a disease screening program for over three hundred soybean cultivars and advanced breeding lines and develop and carry out protocols for field screens.

Served as Vegetable Crops Farm Advisor Identifying production problems in individual commercial fields for growers and implementing an active research and education program to address issues of major concern to vegetable production
